The Utilization Management Program is designed to ensure that the people served by Thumb Alliance providers receive the best care possible, delivered in the most cost-effective way.
The Thumb Alliance PIHP's Utilization Management effort is guided by the Code of Federal Regulations as it pertains to the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services, and by the PIHP's contract with the Michigan Department of Community Health.
